There are many reasons why we tend to slow down and become more sedentary with age. It may be due to health problems, weight or pain issues, or worries about falling. But no matter your age or physical condition it is never too late to take up a Have-A-Seat Yoga program.

According to the CDC, all older adults can benefit from regular physical activity. Not only can it
positively affect our physical health in many ways but also our emotional and mental well being.

The National Institute on Health and Aging has shown that it is important for seniors to get all four types of exercise:

Endurance
Strength training
Balance
Flexibility

Have-A-Seat Yoga combines all of the above in a gradual and inviting physical, emotional and mental experience. And Healthday reported in a study that exercise protects the aging brain and networking functioning improves with physical activity.
